Disney is preparing to remove the CALIFORNIA letters that stand t the entrance of Disney California Adventure, as it continues to reconstruct the entrance area, part of the $1-billion makeover the park is getting. So if you want to get that last photo of the letters, now is the time to do it. According to the “OC Register”, the removal process with begin Jan 4th.
Take a last look at what it is today and then what it will become.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, the company plank to save the giant letters for “Possible Future Use”.

“Disney Channel Rocks!”: DisGeek Review
Considering the disaster that is currently known as “Mickey’s Dance Crew”, I approached “Disney Channel Rocks!” (that’s the name, not a personal interjection), with some skepticism. The new show at Disney’s California Adventure opened on November 26th, replacing “High School Musical 3: Senior Year — Right here! Right Now!”, and all I was able to find online were pictures with the news that there was a new show, and a synopsis about what the show was about. Nobody seemed to have an opinion.
L.A. Coliseum Tries to Drag Disneyland into Rave Battle
Some times I read a story that just rubs me wrong and I have to rant. Thank goodness for blogs, right?
The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission unanimously voted last Thursday to require prior approval of any electronic music events, or what non-politicians and people whose shirts aren’t stuffed refer to as “raves”, to be held at the Coliseum or Sports Arena in the first half of 2011.
This is a temporary compromise in a six-month saga about the fate of raves in L.A. County since a 15-year-old girl died in June at the “Electric Daisy Carnival”. The commission lifted a moratorium on raves in November.
