Last Saturday April 28th was the final evening of the Jump, Jive and Boogie swing dancing. They are closing down this iconic location to make way for Princess Fantasy Faire. The crowds showed up to attend this final historic night. So much so, that crowd control had to step in and keep things in order. While I wasn’t there all night, I made sure I was there to be a part of the final set of the popular big band group, Swingtown.
While I’m personally not into the swing dancing scene I appreciate the history of this historic venue where Walt Disney himself danced, and I wanted to be there. So I danced the night away with my daughter Marlee and had an amazing time. I’m sad to see this place go only to be replaced by a princess meet and greet. But I’ll always have the memories of hanging out that night with my daughter. Here is a photo gallery complements of the one and only TommyPix.

I have been Swing Dancing at CPG for over 5 years! Very sorry to see this close after all these years. A lot of good memories! Looking forward to bringing Swing dancing back into the Park next year!
